Outage Performance of Cross-Packet HARQ

چکیده

As opposed to hybrid automatic repeat request with incremental redundancy (HARQ-IR) that all the resources are occupied resend redundant information, cross-packet HARQ (XP-HARQ) allows introduction of new information into retransmissions substantially exploit remaining resources. This letter provides a profound investigation outage performance XP-HARQ. In particular, exact expression XP-HARQ is derived if maximum number transmissions two, and tight bounds obtained for more than two transmissions. Moreover, asymptotic analysis in high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime carried out not only simplify expression, but also show full time diversity achievable by The simulation results eventually presented verifications.

Outage Performance of Flexible OFDM Schemes in Packet-Switched Transmissions

In this paper, α-OFDM, a generalization of the OFDM modulation, is proposed. This new modulation enhances the outage capacity performance of bursty communications. The α-OFDM scheme is easily implementable as it only requires an additional time symbol rotation after the IDFT stage and a subsequent phase rotation of the cyclic prefix. The physical effect of the induced rotation is to slide the D...

Joint Cooperative Relay and Cross Layer HARQ

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has drawn significant attention recently as a key important factor especially in sensitive areas, through which, data can be simply collected and transmitted. However, we lack practical WSN that promises a high-speed, real time and energy efficient communication with a small size cell battery. In this paper, we proposed a novel cross-layer Hybrid Automatic Repeat ...

Outage Effective Capacity of Buffer-Aided Diamond Relay Systems Using HARQ with Incremental Redundancy

In this paper, transmission over buffer-aided diamond relay systems under statistical quality of service (QoS) constraints is studied. The statistical QoS constraints are imposed as limitations on delay violation probabilities. In the absence of channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, truncated hybrid automatic repeat request-incremental redundancy (HARQ-IR) is incorporated to make ...

Modelling the Performance of a Cross-Layer TCP NewReno-HARQ System

This paper presents an analytical model of a cross-layer communication system to enable improvement in the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) over mixed wired and wireless Internet. The focus is on the quantitative performance evaluation of the interactions between TCP NewReno and a hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest protocol (HARQ) in the link layer (LL) with a finite buffer size. The significan...

Cross Layer Design and Performance Analysis of HARQ Schemes in Multi-Relay Networks

We propose a cross-layer design combining adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) at the physical layer with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol at the data link layer in multi-relay networks with imperfect channel state information (CSI). Based on a simple and distributed relay selection strategy, we derive the closed-form expressions for performance metrics such as average packet l...
